TORRANCE, Ca. - Continuing their aggressive growth trend, Pelican Products, Inc., the global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases, has hired Mitra Giles to lead its West Coast sales operations.

With more than 15 years of industry and sales management experience, Giles will lead Pelican's commercial sales staff on the West Coast and drive new business development in the company's multi-million dollar, Commercial Sales Division.

"Mitra is an extremely accomplished sales executive and I am confident that she will lead Pelican's West Coast Commercial Division to levels previously undreamt of in our 30 year history," said Mark Rolfes, Vice President of Sales. "Her background and industry contacts will be an invaluable tool to those she leads and we are extremely proud to have her on our team."

Prior to joining Pelican, Giles was at FedEx® Corporation as a Worldwide Account Manager in Worldwide Services and Emerging Products. While there she helped to execute new product launches, associated marketing campaigns and beta tests specializing in the Reverse Logistics arena. Prior to that, she worked her way up the FedEx ranks and served in a wide variety of sales and management capacities. Career highlights include effectively managing some of the company's largest multi-million dollar accounts and winning the 2007 Five Star Award (FedEx's most prestigious honor) for outstanding sales growth. Giles holds a Bachelor's Degree from the California State University at Fullerton and a Master's Degree from the University of California at Irvine. Additionally, she holds a certification in Reverse Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the California State University at Long Beach.
