SKANEATELES FALLS, N.Y. - Welch Allyn Lighting Products, a premier manufacturer of high-performance lighting and technology, has named Stephen Chole its International Sales Manager for surgical lighting and Lori Babiarz its Service Manager. These new appointments reinforce Welch Allyn's dedication to the highest caliber domestic and international customer outreach, service and support for its Lighting Products Division.

"We're pleased Steve Chole will lead our international sales efforts and congratulate Lori Babiarz on her move to service manager," said Doug Rutan, Welch Allyn marketing manager. "Steve brings over 25 years of experience in the medical field. He's a veteran business leader with vast knowledge of the international surgical market. Lori has been with Welch Allyn for over 22 years. As our service manager, she'll use this extensive experience to ensure our customers worldwide receive outstanding service and support."

Steve Chole joins Welch Allyn from CheckSite Medical, Inc., where he was president and CEO. His prior positions also include director of sales and marketing for Welch Allyn, Inc., senior product manager for Mitsubishi, Inc., and sales representative for Herzog Surgical, Inc. Chole is well versed in worldwide surgical markets, including neurosurgery, cardiovascular, ENT, plastics and general surgery. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a member of the Healthcare Manufacturing Marketing Council.

Lori Babiarz has held positions within Welch Allyn since 1992, including product manager and sales coordinator. Most recently she was a part of the company's original equipment sales team championing the precision halogen lamp product line. Babiarz holds a bachelor's in marketing from Regents College (Albany, NY) and an associate's in business administration from Cayuga Community College (Auburn, NY). She has also received sales and leadership training from the American Management Association.
