REGENSBURG, De. - On January 1, 2007 Josef Ringsgwandl (49) will take over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from Robert Wittgen (48) on the Managing Board of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. Wittgen is moving to the parent company OSRAM where he will take on the role of Global Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Josef Ringsgwandl started his career in 1975 in the Lighting division at Siemens in Traunreut. In 1997 he moved to OSRAM in Munich where he headed the Controlling department for the Ballasts and Luminaires division. In Regensburg, Josef Ringsgwandl joins the team of Dr. Rüdiger Müller, who chairs the Managing Board, and Jörg Thäle, who is responsible for the production side. He is married and has three grown-up sons.
Robert Wittgen has been responsible for finances at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors since 1999. As CIO he now takes on global responsibility for information technology in the OSRAM group.
